bush felt that the raid on iraq would yield similar results. it did and it didn't. retrieved intel indicated oil deals AND where the WMDs are. problem is that they are in syria and it's "chip" country that we can't make the commitment to raid.
another problem with raiding syria is that our troops are spread too thin globally.
the US can't gamble that we go into syria and iran might erupt, or north korea heats up.
this is why bush is moving troops around in a more mobile execution format. this is to send a message to the world that we may be thin right now, but we are agile.
