Words of Western media lack credibility -- Iranian president
Kuwait News Agency ^ | Oct 28, 2005

TEHRAN, Oct 28(KUNA) -- Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad commented Friday on western media and western officials' reaction to his recent statements slamming Israeli policies by saying they were free to say what they wished but that they lacked credibility.

Speaking to the Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) on the sidelines of the World Quds (Jerusalem) Day rallies in Tehran, the president said, "They are free to say (what they wish) but their words lack any credibility. They are rude and falsely think that the whole world should be subordinate to them." "The oppressed Palestinians are martyred by Zionists, their properties are looted, their houses are bombarded and they are assassinated but the Zionists expect that no one should object to them," he said.

"My word is the same as that of the Iranian nation," he noted when asked by IRNA whether he had any messages to the people of the world. Ahmadinejad had said in a forum Wednesday that Israel must be removed, noting that a world free of Israel and the US was possible.
